LG NanoCell 2026 at Híper Ocio: the full NU8E range and our September offer

September is when LG renews its NanoCell range and this year the NU8E series has arrived at Híper Ocio in full: from the compact 43-inch to the 75-inch for large living rooms. If you have been thinking about changing your TV for a while and the word "NanoCell" has left you wondering, we will explain it plainly: what it is, what difference it makes day to day and which model in the range suits your living room and your budget.
We are not going to tell you that NanoCell technology is better than everything else just because. Each panel technology (NanoCell, QLED, OLED) has its place, and our job is for you to buy the one you will really make use of, not the one that sounds best on the box. With that in hand, and with all five sizes of the 2026 NU8E already in our catalogue as part of our September offer, it is a good moment to run the numbers.
Please note that, like the rest of the large appliances and TVs we sell, the LG NanoCell range is only delivered and installed in the Almanzora Valley, the Levante Almeriense and Los Vélez, with our own van. We do not ship TVs nationwide: if you live outside that area, we are sorry, but we would rather tell you here than have you find out at checkout.
What is NanoCell technology and how does it differ from QLED and OLED?
NanoCell is the LCD panel technology LG has used in its upper mid-range for several generations. In short: a layer of nanometre-sized particles is applied over the panel that filters out "dirty" colour wavelengths, so reds and greens look purer and colour does not wash out at wider viewing angles as much as on a conventional LED. It is not the same as quantum dot (QLED, used by Samsung, TCL or Hisense) or OLED (where each pixel emits its own light, with no backlight).
In practice, in an ordinary living room, with daylight coming in through the window and watching from the sofa rather than right up against the screen, the difference between NanoCell and QLED is barely noticeable. Where you will notice it is against an entry-level LED without these colour-enhancing layers: there the step up is real, especially in skin tones and in the greens of grass or vegetation in sport and documentaries.
The full 2026 NU8E range: model by model
All NU8E models share the same processor, operating system and 4K NanoCell panel; what changes is the screen size and, with it, the price and the recommended viewing distance. This is what we have in the catalogue right now, as part of the September offer:
- LG 43NU8E0B3LA (43") — €299. The option for a bedroom, a large kitchen or a small living room, without giving up real 4K or LG's AI.
- LG 50NU8E0B3LA (50") — €349. The size that sells most for medium-sized living rooms, with a €50 premium over the 43" that is almost always worth it.
- LG 55NU8E0B3LA (55") — €399. The sweet spot of the range: enough screen for a standard living room without the price shooting up.
- LG 65NU8E0B3LA (65") — €499. For large living rooms or when you watch from more than 2.5-3 metres away.
- LG 75NU8E0B3LA (75") — €649. The largest in the series, designed for living rooms of more than 20 m² or for anyone who wants a real "home cinema" effect.
All five are available to order, with an estimated delivery of 3 to 5 working days: we bring them in, install them for you and take the packaging away, with our own van, within the area we cover. It is the same way we work with the rest of our large appliances: we do not have 40 TVs in the Albox warehouse, but we do have quick access to the manufacturer's full range and we check that what we install works before we leave.
α7 Gen9 AI processor and webOS 26: what changes day to day
The α7 Gen9 processor with AI is the same in all five NU8E sizes, and it is what really sets it apart from an unbranded TV at a similar price. Its main functions, explained without brochure jargon:
- AI picture upscaling: the processor analyses each frame and raises the resolution of content that is not native 4K (digital terrestrial TV, many streaming platforms at off-peak times), trying to reduce noise and sharpen edges. It does not work miracles, but you notice it especially with digital terrestrial TV or older content.
- HDR10 Pro: improves contrast and colour range in HDR content, adapting it to the real brightness of the NanoCell panel.
- webOS 26: the latest version of LG's interface, with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and the other usual apps preinstalled, user profiles and a built-in voice assistant. If you have used an LG in recent years, the learning curve is zero.
- AI sound: automatically adjusts bass and treble to the type of content (film, sport, music), although for a large living room we still recommend a separate soundbar: the built-in speaker of any flat TV has its physical limits.
Which size to choose for your living room
The rule we use in the shop, and that you can apply yourself with a tape measure, is to divide the distance from the sofa to the wall (in centimetres) by 1.5 for 4K. The result is the screen size in inches that makes use of the full resolution without the pixels showing and without falling short:
- Sofa 2 m (200 cm) from the wall → around 43"-50".
- Sofa 2.5 m → around 55".
- Sofa 3 m → around 65".
- Sofa more than 3.5 m away, or a large living-dining room → 75" makes sense.
It is a guide, not a law of physics: if you like watching sport or play on a console, going up one size usually pays off. If the TV is going in a bedroom or kitchen, 43" is almost always plenty.
LG NanoCell compared with other options in the shop
Not everyone needs NanoCell, and at Híper Ocio we also have more tightly priced alternatives if budget matters more than picture quality. For example, the Samsung TU50U7025F 50" (€329) is a Crystal UHD 4K without a NanoCell or QLED layer, with a simpler processor: it does the job perfectly well for watching "normal" TV, but you can see the step up in quality compared with the LG 50NU8E0B3LA in scenes with lots of colour nuance. The €20 difference between the two, in our opinion, pays for itself if you are going to use the TV several hours a day.
If what you are after is simply the best picture LG offers (not in this price range), the next step up is an OLED panel, at a considerably higher cost; for most living rooms and budgets, the NU8E more than covers what an OLED panel adds for everyday use.
Price, financing and how to buy
All five models in the 2026 NU8E range are in the September offer at Híper Ocio, with prices from €299 (43") to €649 (75"). You can pay in instalments with Klarna; you will find all the information on our financing page.
As we said at the beginning, we handle the installation and transport ourselves, with our own van, only in the Almanzora Valley, the Levante Almeriense and Los Vélez. If you are unsure whether your town is in the area, or you would like us to confirm the delivery time before you decide, message us on WhatsApp at 623 04 44 20 and we will check it for you with no obligation.
Why Híper Ocio
We have been selling appliances and electronics in Albox since 1923, and today the shop is run by Antonio Martínez Rosado, the fourth generation of the family at the helm. We are not a big retail chain: when we sell you a TV at €650 or at €300, we deliver and install it ourselves, and if anything goes wrong along the way you will be talking to the same person who sold it to you, not to a generic customer service centre. That has a clear limit, which is our delivery area, and we prefer to be honest about that limitation rather than promise something we cannot then deliver.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between NanoCell and QLED?
Both are LCD technologies with an extra layer to improve colour: NanoCell (LG) uses particles that filter out impure colour wavelengths; QLED (Samsung, TCL, Hisense) uses quantum dots. In everyday use, in an ordinary living room, the difference in picture is small; where they do differ is in software (webOS versus Tizen or Google TV) and in each brand's processor.
Do I need real 4K to notice the difference with NanoCell?
Not everything you watch needs to be native 4K. The α7 Gen9 processor upscales lower-resolution content with AI (digital terrestrial TV, many live broadcasts), improving sharpness and reducing noise, although the clearest step up shows with 4K content from Netflix, Prime Video or Disney+.
Can I buy the LG NanoCell if I live outside the Almanzora or Levante Almeriense?
Not at the moment: TVs and large appliances are only delivered and installed in the Almanzora Valley, the Levante Almeriense and Los Vélez, with our own van. We do not ship this type of product nationwide.
How long does delivery take if I order now?
All five models are available to order, with an estimated lead time of 3 to 5 working days from order confirmation to installation at your home.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes: at checkout you can choose Klarna, which shows you the instalment options available for your purchase before you confirm. You will find the details on our financing page.
What size would you recommend for a medium-sized living room?
For a sofa between 2.5 and 3 metres from the wall, which is the most common arrangement in a Spanish living room, the 55" or the 65" strike the best balance between price and making use of the 4K resolution.
