❓ What is a retired or discontinued LEGO set?

LEGO produces sets for a limited period (usually between 1 and 3 years) before retiring them from the official catalog. Once retired, the set is not manufactured again. This is why retired sets are of special interest to collectors, fans of specific brands (Star Wars, Marvel, Creator Expert, Vespa, etc.) or as gifts for someone who waited too long.
