Cup Rabbits by Awake Toys: Korean blind boxes (2026 guide)
If you have seen those collectable figures with soft furry ears on social media, sold in a sealed box so you never know which one you will get, you have come across a blind box. It is one of the fastest-growing collecting trends of recent years, first in Asia and now in Spain too. At Híper Ocio we have just added the Cup Rabbits by Awake Toys, imported directly from Korea, and in this guide we explain what they are, how the surprise format works and which collections we have available right now.
One thing we like to make clear from the start: a blind box is, by definition, a surprise purchase. You do not choose the design you receive. That is part of the fun for collectors, but it is worth knowing before you buy so there are no disappointments. Throughout the article we explain honestly how it works, who it suits and how we handle shipping and returns.
Who is Awake Toys and what are Cup Rabbits
Awake Toys is a Korean art toy studio (design toys made more for collecting and display than for classic children's play). Its best-known line is Cup Rabbits: small bunny figures with a PVC body and fluffy synthetic-fur ears, which are their trademark. Each series is built around its own theme and colour palette, and every series has 6 different designs that are sold at random.
We are not going to give you a brand biography that we cannot verify. What we do know for certain, because it is printed on every box, is this: these figures are imported directly from Korea, made of PVC with synthetic fur, with a careful finish and a level of detail aimed at adult collectors. The manufacturer's recommended age is 15+, precisely because of that detail and the fur ears, which make them unsuitable as toys for the youngest members of the family.
How a blind box works (and why it is so addictive)
The idea is simple. You buy a sealed box from a specific collection, but inside there could be any of the 6 designs in that series. Until you open it, you do not know which one you have. Hence the name: blind box.
Why do people like them so much? For two reasons. The first is the thrill of opening and discovering, similar to opening a pack of trading cards. The second is collecting: many buyers want to gather all 6 designs in a series, and even swap duplicates with other enthusiasts. Some blind box lines also include secret figures or harder-to-find editions, which adds an extra element of the hunt to collecting.
Let us also be clear about the less fun part: because you do not choose, you may get a duplicate design if you buy several boxes, or you may not get your favourite first time. We cannot guarantee any particular figure or the appearance of a secret one. That is the nature of the format, not a condition set by the shop.
The 4 Cup Rabbits collections available at Híper Ocio
We currently have the four main Cup Rabbits series, all at €16.99 per box and in stock. Each has its own colour and theme, so the choice comes down to taste. Here they are:
Cup Rabbits Fruit Milk
The brightest and "sweetest" series in the line: 6 fruit-themed designs with ears in citrus and tropical shades. It is probably the most popular starting point for newcomers, thanks to its cheerful, recognisable palette. Reference BLINDPOP-FM-001. You can see it here: Cup Rabbits Fruit Milk — Blind Box.
Cup Rabbits Fantastic Fruit
The most ethereal and minimalist take on the fruit theme. Here the palette softens: cream, white and faded pastel tones, with a gentler and more sophisticated feel than Fruit Milk. If you are looking for something decorative and understated for a shelf, this is your series. Reference BLINDPOP-FF-001. Available at: Cup Rabbits Fantastic Fruit — Blind Box.
Cup Rabbits Inner Desire
The most romantic of the four: 6 characters in elaborate floral outfits, delicate details and a warm pastel palette. It works very well as a gift for someone who likes pretty, carefully made things. Reference BLINDPOP-ID-001. You will find it here: Cup Rabbits Inner Desire — Blind Box.
Cup Rabbits Face Yourself
The darkest and most dramatic in the line: a night-gallery look, metallic and fantastical tones, and characters with a more introspective personality. It is the one chosen by people who want to step away from pastels and are after something with more character. Reference BLINDPOP-FY-001. Available at: Cup Rabbits Face Yourself — Blind Box.
Across the four series there are 24 different designs (6 per collection), so collectors have plenty to chase. And since each series has a very distinct palette, they are easy to combine or to keep separate, whichever you prefer.
How to choose and how to collect them
If it is your first box, our honest recommendation is to start with the series whose look you like best at first glance, without overthinking "which is the best": all four have the same build quality and the same price, and the difference is purely one of style. Fruit Milk and Fantastic Fruit are the brightest; Inner Desire is the most romantic; Face Yourself is the most dramatic.
If your aim is to complete an entire series, bear in mind that because they are random, duplicates can turn up. Many people buy several at a time and then swap the duplicates. It is part of the collecting game and best accepted from the start. If you ever have doubts about a series or want to know whether we have received anything new, message us on WhatsApp at 623 04 44 20 and we will tell you what we have.
Why buy your Cup Rabbits at Híper Ocio
We are a family shop in Albox (Almería) that has been selling toys and leisure products since 1923. When we add a new line like this one, it is because we have real stock and can genuinely ship it, not because we are following a trend. These are the reasons to buy them from us:
- Real stock of all four collections, ready to go.
- Express shipping across the mainland: if you order before 15:00 on a working day, you receive it the next day (barring transport delays), and shipping is free from €49.99.
- Pay in instalments with Klarna, if you combine your order with other products.
- Real people, not a bot: WhatsApp 623 04 44 20 and a physical shop by appointment.
Frequently asked questions
Are these official Awake Toys figures?
Yes, they are original Awake Toys products, imported directly from Korea. We are not an official authorised distributor of the brand, but the figures we sell are genuine and reach us sealed in their collector's box.
Can I choose which figure I get?
No. It is a blind box: the figure you receive is random among the 6 designs in the series you buy. That surprise is part of the experience, and we cannot guarantee any particular design, or the appearance of a secret figure.
What age are they for?
The manufacturer recommends 15+. They are collector's items, with synthetic-fur ears and detailed pieces, not toys designed for small children.
Do you ship across Spain?
Yes, we ship express across the mainland: if you order before 15:00 on a working day, you receive it the next day, barring transport delays. Shipping is free from €49.99. As each box costs €16.99, if you want free shipping it makes sense to combine several boxes or add other products to your order.
Can I return it if I am not happy with it?
You have 30 calendar days to return it under our returns policy, as long as the box is unopened and in its original condition. As this is a surprise product, a box that has already been opened cannot be returned because you do not like the design that came out (it can, of course, if it arrives faulty or damaged). The cost of return shipping is paid by the customer unless the product is faulty or the wrong item.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes: at checkout you can choose Klarna, which shows you the instalment options available for your purchase before you confirm. For a single blind box it is not usually worthwhile, but if you place a large order it is an option.
