How to change the filter
The filter life indicator notifies you when it's time to replace the cartridge. To do it correctly:
- Submerge the new filter in cold water for about 15 minutes to activate it and remove carbon dust.
- Rinse the reservoir and pitcher with cold water without soap.
- Place the filter in the reservoir, pressing down until it is well sealed.
- It is recommended not to consume the first 2 filtered pitchers after a change (initial cleaning of the cartridge).
- From the third pitcher onwards, the water is ready to drink.

How long does each filter last?
The standard duration is approximately 1 month or 100-150 liters filtered in average domestic use. The integrated indicator notifies you when it's time to change it.
Does it completely eliminate limescale?
The filter significantly reduces limescale levels but does not 100% eliminate water hardness. In areas with very hard water (like much of Levante Almeriense), the improvement in taste is very noticeable, but the water still has some mineralization.
Is filtered water safe to drink?
Yes. The pitcher filters water that is already potable (tap water) to improve taste and reduce chlorine and limescale. It is not intended to purify water from uncontrolled sources.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
It is not recommended. Dishwasher temperatures can deform the plastic and affect the filter's fit. Wash it by hand with cold or lukewarm water and mild soap.
Is it suitable for preparing baby bottles?
Water filtered with the JR 3025 is suitable for drinking, but for infant baby bottles, always consult current pediatric recommendations. In general, previously boiled tap water remains the standard for infants.
Can I switch filter brands?
We recommend always using original Orbegozo JR 3025 filters (ref. 16237) because they are sized exactly for this pitcher. Generic filters may not seal properly and allow unfiltered water to pass through the sides.
Does it improve coffee flavor?
Yes, especially in areas with hard water: by reducing limescale and chlorine, coffee retains its aromas better, and the coffee maker scales up less. Italian and drip coffee makers particularly notice the change.
