Frequently asked questions
Does it cool as well as air conditioning?
It does not work in the same way. An evaporative air cooler cools by evaporating water, with far lower consumption and no installation. It works best in dry conditions with some ventilation; it does not reach the cooling power of a split unit, but it does noticeably reduce the feeling of heat.
Does it need installing or gas refilling?
Not at all. Simply fill the water tank, plug it in and it works. It contains no refrigerant gas and needs no building work; it also has wheels so it can be moved easily.
Can I use ice blocks in the tank?
Yes. Adding the ice packs (or ice) to the tank intensifies the feeling of cool air, especially during the hottest hours.
