Experience the thrill of the most iconic team on every bend!

The new LEGO McLaren MCL38 (77251) is pure passion for Formula 1 condensed into 264 pieces. An exquisite reproduction of the single-seater that McLaren has taken to the grid in the 2024 season, with its unmistakable combination of matt black and papaya orange, aggressive wings, a functional cockpit and a stylish driver minifigure with helmet.

We loved building it: it is a set that will hook you from the very first piece and, once built, looks impressive on any shelf or display cabinet. The aerodynamic finish, the printed logos and the rear wing details make it stand out from other cars in the Speed Champions range. And it is not just about looks: it rolls smoothly, fits together perfectly and has plenty of presence.

Clever design and authentic McLaren style

From the sharp nose to the rear with diffusers, this LEGO car exudes racing engineering. The cockpit opens so you can place the minifigure inside and recreate a real qualifying session or a pit stop. It also includes Pirelli sports tyres with low-profile black wheels, which reinforce the racing character of the set.

Although the build is quick, there are some interesting techniques that detail-minded builders will love, such as the use of angled pieces around the wing or the side skirts that recreate the aerodynamic flow of the real car.
