What types of sets does Friends include?

The range is very varied. There are houses and homes with detailed interiors and miniature furniture, businesses and shops like bakeries, veterinarians, or florists, vehicles from ice cream vans to caravans, natural spaces like beaches, forests, and farms, and adventure and exploration scenarios. The animal care sets are especially popular among girls who love dogs, cats, horses, and other pets that inhabit Heartlake City.

What age are Friends sets suitable for?

Most are recommended for ages 6-8 years and up, although there are simpler options starting from 5 years old. Larger and more detailed sets, such as the Tree House or Heartlake City School, are designed for girls aged 9-12 who already have experience with LEGO and enjoy builds with many details.

Are they only for girls?

Absolutely not. Although the Friends line is designed from a more girl-oriented perspective, any child who enjoys building, role-playing, and narrative scenarios can enjoy them equally. LEGO has also incorporated male characters into more recent sets, making the line more inclusive than ever.

Are they compatible with other LEGO?

Yes, like the entire LEGO range, Friends pieces are fully compatible with the rest of the LEGO universe. Friends minidolls have a slightly different design from standard minifigures — they are taller and more articulated — but the building pieces fit together without any problem.
