Theme: LEGO Minecraft · Minimum age: 8 years · Number of pieces: 284 · Reference: 21587

Venture into the perilous Zombie Dungeon

The LEGO® Minecraft® The Zombie Dungeon set (ref. 21587) challenges boys and girls aged 8 and over to take on a horde of zombies in a dungeon full of dangers, located in the Minecraft Desert biome. This exciting set combines creative building, strategic combat and the hallmark mechanics of the video game in a model packed with interactive features.

With 284 pieces, this set lets children recreate the tension of exploring underground dungeons, facing multiple zombie enemies and collecting valuable resources while avoiding deadly traps.

A dungeon full of dangers and features

The dungeon is designed with multiple interactive features that recreate the game's mechanics and add excitement to combat:

Rotating zombie spawner chamber

One of the most innovative features of the set is the rotating chamber that spawns zombies. This mechanism allows zombies to appear continuously, recreating the in-game experience where mob spawners constantly create enemies.

Children must destroy the spawner or face endless waves of zombies, adding a strategic element to play: attack the zombies first or go straight for the spawner?

Sliding piece with rockfall

The dungeon includes a rockfall trap activated by a sliding piece. When triggered, rocks fall onto the characters, adding an element of environmental danger typical of Minecraft dungeons.

This feature creates play situations where children must avoid the traps while fighting the zombies, increasing the complexity and excitement of combat.

Set in the Desert biome

The dungeon is located in the Minecraft Desert biome, with architectural and decorative elements that reflect this arid environment. The build combines stone, sand and other materials characteristic of the desert.

Characters for epic battles

The set includes an impressive selection of characters for challenging and exciting battles:

Wastelander (equipped hero)

The Wastelander minifigure is the brave adventurer who ventures into the dungeon, equipped with an impressive arsenal:

• Netherite armour - The most powerful armour in the game, providing maximum protection
• Mace - Blunt weapon for close combat
• Diamond pickaxe - High-level tool for mining and breaking blocks

This character represents the experienced, well-equipped player who dares to explore the most dangerous dungeons in search of treasure.

Three menacing zombies

The dungeon is infested with 3 zombies, each with a different level of equipment:

• Zombie with enchanted leggings and golden sword - A particularly dangerous zombie with magical leg armour and a gold weapon
• Zombie with diamond helmet - Protected by the toughest helmet in the game, harder to defeat
• Basic zombie - The standard enemy, but just as menacing in a group

This variety of zombies with different equipment adds strategic complexity: some are easier to defeat, while others require more hits and better tactics.

Green Slime

The Slime is another hostile creature living in the dungeon. These bouncing mobs add a different kind of threat, attacking with unpredictable jumps and splitting into smaller slimes when defeated (in the game).

Dungeon accessories and resources

The set includes essential items for dungeon exploration and survival:

Combat equipment

• Netherite armour - The best protection available
• Mace - Close-combat weapon
• Diamond pickaxe - High-level mining tool
• Golden sword - Weapon of the equipped zombie
• Diamond helmet - High-level head protection
• Enchanted leggings - Magical leg armour

Survival items

• Crafting table - For making tools and items in the dungeon
• Torch - Essential lighting to stop more mobs from spawning
• Chest - Storage for treasure and resources found

Resources and loot

• Bread - Food to restore hunger points
• Bone - Resource dropped by skeletons, useful for taming wolves
• Rotten flesh - Loot dropped by zombies, edible in emergencies

Each accessory is designed to be recognisable to Minecraft players, allowing game mechanics to be recreated accurately.

Strategic play inspired by Minecraft

This set offers multiple ways to play that capture the essence of dungeon exploration:

Tactical combat

Facing 3 zombies and a Slime at the same time requires strategy and planning. Children must decide which enemies to attack first, when to retreat and how to use the surroundings to their advantage.

Destroying the spawner

Deciding whether to destroy the zombie spawner chamber or face continuous waves of enemies adds an important strategic element to play.

Avoiding traps

Navigating the dungeon while avoiding the rockfall and other traps requires care and attention, recreating the tension of exploring dangerous structures.

Collecting loot

Defeating the zombies and exploring the chest lets children collect valuable resources such as rotten flesh, bones and other items useful for survival.

Building and rearranging

The set can be rearranged, rebuilt and reinvented to create different dungeon layouts, allowing children to add their personal touch and create unique challenges.

Benefits of playing with LEGO Minecraft

This set combines the benefits of LEGO® building with the creativity of Minecraft:

Strategic thinking

Dungeons in Minecraft

Dungeons are naturally generated structures in Minecraft that contain mob spawners, chests with valuable loot and hostile enemies. Exploring them is dangerous but rewarding, as they offer unique resources and experience.

This LEGO® set perfectly captures the tension and excitement of discovering and conquering a dungeon, allowing fans to recreate these underground adventures in the physical world.

Why choose The Zombie Dungeon

This set stands out for its focus on combat and action, offering a more intense experience than other Minecraft sets centred on building or peaceful exploration.

The interactive features —the rotating spawner chamber and the rockfall trap— add dynamism to play and allow the video game's dungeon mechanics to be recreated in a tangible way.

The variety of zombies with different equipment creates graded challenges: from basic zombies to zombies with diamond armour, offering a progression in difficulty.

The Wastelander with Netherite armour is a particularly appealing character, representing the advanced player with the best equipment in the game, which makes children feel powerful and ready for the challenge.

With impressive dimensions of approximately 21 cm high × 12 cm wide × 15 cm deep, the dungeon has visual presence and offers enough space for active play with multiple characters.
