LEGO Minecraft The Wither Battle (21590)

Theme: LEGO Minecraft · Minimum age: 8 years · Number of pieces: 494 · Reference: 21590

Face the fearsome Wither in an epic battle

The LEGO® Minecraft® La Batalla contra el Wither set (ref. 21590) takes boys and girls aged 8 and over to one of the most epic battles in the video game: the showdown with the Wither, one of the most powerful and dangerous bosses in Minecraft, in the mysterious Warped Forest biome of the Nether.

With 494 pieces, this action-packed set lets children recreate the thrill of travelling to the Nether through a portal, exploring a hidden shrine and facing multiple hostile enemies in a battle that calls for strategy, courage and teamwork to survive.

Seven characters for epic battles

The set includes an impressive selection of 7 characters and creatures that create intense, exciting combat situations:

Crimson Warrior (hero)

The Crimson Warrior is the brave adventurer who ventures into the Nether to face the Wither. This character represents the experienced player who has gathered the courage and resources needed to challenge one of the most dangerous enemies in the game.

Equipped with weapons and armour, the Crimson Warrior leads the battle against the dark forces guarding the Wither's shrine.

Wither (final boss)

The Wither is the main antagonist of the set, a three-headed boss that fires explosive projectiles and causes massive destruction. This mob is one of the two bosses that players can summon in Minecraft (along with the Ender Dragon).

Defeating the Wither is one of the greatest achievements in Minecraft, as it awards the valuable Nether Star, needed to craft beacons.

2 Wither Skeletons

Wither Skeletons are more dangerous versions of normal skeletons, exclusive to the Nether. These enemies shoot arrows that inflict the Wither effect, making them especially deadly.

Having two Wither Skeletons adds complexity to the battle, forcing the Crimson Warrior to face multiple threats at once.

Strider (mount)

The Strider is a unique Nether creature that can walk on lava. In the game, players can ride Striders using a warped fungus on a stick, making them valuable mounts for exploring the dangerous Nether.

This set lets children recreate the experience of riding the Strider, adding an element of mobility and strategy to play.

Baby Strider

The adorable baby Strider is the young version of this creature. Although it cannot be ridden in the game, it adds a touch of sweetness to the set and lets children recreate Strider breeding.

Magma Cube

The Magma Cube is a hostile mob that jumps and attacks players in the Nether. These gelatinous lava enemies add another threat to the battlefield and are instantly recognisable to Minecraft players.

Nether Portal: a gateway to another dimension

The set includes a buildable Nether Portal, the iconic structure that allows travel between the normal world (Overworld) and the Nether dimension:

Authentic design

The portal is built from obsidian blocks (represented by black LEGO® pieces) forming the characteristic rectangular frame, with a translucent purple centre representing the dimensional vortex.

Travel function

Children can pass the figures through the portal, recreating the experience of travelling to the Nether, one of the most exciting mechanics in Minecraft, which opens up a whole new world of exploration and danger.

Wither shrine with explosion function

The centrepiece of the set is the Wither shrine, a mysterious structure located in the Nether's Warped Forest biome:

Nether architecture

The shrine is built with characteristic Nether materials: crimson blocks, netherrack and other elements that capture the unique look of this infernal dimension.

Hidden Wither

The shrine hides the Wither inside, waiting to be summoned. In the game, players must build a specific formation with soul sand and Wither Skeleton skulls to summon this boss.

Explosion function

The most exciting feature of the shrine is its explosion function, which triggers the dramatic appearance of the Wither. When this mechanism is activated, the Wither bursts out of the shrine spectacularly, recreating the epic moment of summoning in the game.

This interactive function adds an element of surprise and excitement to play, allowing children to recreate the climax of the battle again and again.

Crafting table included

The shrine includes a crafting table, an essential tool in Minecraft for crafting items, weapons and tools. Its presence in the set adds authenticity and lets children recreate the preparations before the battle.

Accessories for epic battles

The set includes a variety of essential accessories that enrich play and add authenticity to the battle experience:

Weapons and tools

• Mace - Blunt weapon for close combat against the Wither
• Warped fungus on a stick - Tool for controlling and riding the Strider

Summoning resources

• 3 Wither Skeleton skulls - Resources needed to summon the Wither in the game, adding authenticity to the set

Survival items

• Healing potion - Essential for surviving the battle against the Wither, which inflicts massive damage
• Crafting table - For crafting tools and items during the adventure

Valuable reward

• Nether Star - The prize for defeating the Wither, one of the most valuable items in Minecraft, used to craft beacons that grant special powers

Each accessory is designed to be recognisable to Minecraft players, allowing game mechanics to be recreated accurately.

Warped Forest biome

The set recreates the Warped Forest biome, one of the strangest and most visually distinctive environments in the Nether:

Unique vegetation

The Warped Forest is characterised by its cyan warped fungi, which grow to enormous sizes, creating an alien, surreal landscape.

Characteristic colours

The set captures the unique colour palette of this biome: cyan and turquoise tones of the warped fungi, reds and oranges of the lava, and dark greys of the netherrack.

Mysterious atmosphere

The Warped Forest is one of the safest biomes in the Nether (hostile Piglins do not spawn there), but it is still dangerous because of the lava and other mobs, creating the perfect setting for the battle against the Wither.

Play full of action and possibilities

This set offers many ways to play that capture the essence of Minecraft's epic battles:

Dimensional travel

Children can recreate the journey to the Nether by passing the Crimson Warrior through the portal, getting ready for the adventure that awaits on the other side.

Exploring the shrine

Explore the shrine in search of the hidden Wither, collecting the skulls needed and preparing for the summoning.

Summoning the Wither

Use the explosion function to summon the Wither dramatically, recreating one of the most exciting moments in the game.

Strategic combat

Facing the Wither, the Wither Skeletons and the Magma Cube at the same time requires strategy and planning, deciding which enemies to attack first and when to use the healing potion.

Riding the Strider

Use the warped fungus on a stick to ride the Strider and move around the Nether, adding tactical mobility to the battle.

Collecting rewards

After defeating the Wither, collect the Nether Star, celebrating victory over one of the toughest enemies in the game.

Rearranging and rebuilding

The set can be rearranged and reinvented to create different shrine layouts and new battle scenarios.

Benefits of playing with LEGO Minecraft

This set combines the benefits of LEGO® building with the creativity of Minecraft:

Strategic thinking

Planning how to face the Wither and multiple enemies develops tactical planning skills and decision-making under pressure.

Problem solving

Deciding the best strategy to survive, managing limited resources (healing potion) and using the environment to their advantage exercises critical thinking.

Fine motor skills

Building the 494 pieces, operating the explosion function and arranging the accessories strengthens manual dexterity and coordination.

Creativity and imagination

Recreating the battle against the Wither and then inventing new stories stimulates limitless creativity and the ability to create epic narratives.

Storytelling play

Inventing stories about the Crimson Warrior facing the Wither develops language skills and the ability to tell heroic tales.

Build Together Mode

The set is compatible with the LEGO Builder app, which includes the innovative Build Together Mode:

Collaborative building

This mode allows several people to build the same set together, each using their own device. Each builder can work on a different section of the model at the same time.

About the Wither in Minecraft

The Wither is one of the two bosses that players can summon in Minecraft (the other is the Ender Dragon). To summon it, players must place 4 blocks of soul sand in a T shape and place 3 Wither Skeleton skulls on top.

Once summoned, the Wither causes a massive explosion and begins attacking everything that moves, firing explosive skulls that destroy blocks and cause the Wither effect. Defeating it awards the Nether Star, needed to craft beacons that provide permanent positive status effects.

This LEGO® set perfectly captures the tension and excitement of this epic battle, allowing fans to recreate one of the greatest challenges in the game.

Why choose La Batalla contra el Wither

This set stands out for its focus on one of Minecraft's most epic battles, offering an intense play experience centred on combat against a legendary boss.

The shrine's explosion function, which makes the Wither appear, adds an element of surprise and drama that takes play beyond static building, creating memorable, repeatable moments.

The variety of enemies —Wither, 2 Wither Skeletons, Magma Cube— creates a challenging battle that requires real strategy, not just mindless action.

The rideable Strider adds a unique element of mobility and strategy that other combat sets lack, allowing more complex tactics.

The inclusion of the Nether Star as a reward provides a clear objective and a sense of achievement when the battle is completed, recreating the game's progression.

Build Together Mode turns building into a social activity, perfect for siblings, friends or parents and children who want to share the experience.

With generous dimensions of approximately 10 cm high × 22 cm wide × 24 cm deep, the shrine has visual presence and offers plenty of space for active play with multiple characters.
