Infiniton Carbon Filter for Extractor Hoods — Universal

The Infiniton carbon filter is designed for extractor hoods that operate in recirculation mode, meaning without direct venting to the outside. In this mode, air first passes through the grease filter and then through the carbon filter, which retains and neutralizes odor molecules before returning clean air to the kitchen. This is the usual solution in apartments, flats, or kitchens where it is not possible to install an external exhaust duct.

Installation

Installation requires no tools. Simply remove the hood grille, place the carbon filter in position, and close it again. The process takes less than a minute and requires no prior technical knowledge.

Lifespan and Maintenance

The carbon filter's lifespan is 6 to 12 months, depending on the frequency of hood use:

  • Intensive daily use: change approximately every 6 months
  • Moderate or occasional use: can last up to 12 months

The clearest sign that the filter needs changing is when kitchen odors take longer to dissipate or persist after cooking. Unlike the grease filter, the carbon filter cannot be washed or regenerated: it must be replaced when its absorption capacity is exhausted.
