Diset 1000KM - Mario Kart

Start your engines with 1000KM Mario Kart!

If your household is full of Mario Kart fans, you are going to love this card game. 1000KM Mario Kart by Diset brings all the excitement of the craziest races in the Mushroom Kingdom straight to your table. It is the version of the classic card game Mille Bornes set in the Mario universe, and it works brilliantly both for quick games and for whole afternoons of family fun.

The classic racing game, now with Mario and his friends

This game combines the tried-and-tested mechanics of the legendary 1000 kilómetros with the characters, items and situations we all know from Mario Kart. You will have to cover 1000 kilometres before your rivals, but it won't be easy: shells, bananas, lightning bolts and all kinds of obstacles will get in your way.

The fun is that you have to move forward yourself and also slow the others down. You can throw a red shell at them to stop them, put a banana in their path or use a lightning bolt to slow everyone down. And they will do the same to you, of course. Games are full of twists and turns.

How do you play?

The objective is simple: be the first to complete 1000 kilometres. To move forward, play distance cards (25km, 50km, 75km, 100km, 200km). But your rivals will try to slow you down with hazard cards: breakdowns, accidents, speed limits... You will have to defend yourself with repair cards and counter-attacks.

Best of all, it includes special cards from the Mario Kart universe that add a unique touch to the classic game. The power-ups, the characters and the iconic elements of the series are perfectly integrated into the game mechanics.

Perfect for the whole family

This game is ideal for 2 to 6 players aged 8 and over. Games last between 30 and 45 minutes, which makes it perfect for those afternoons when you want to play something that is neither too short nor too long.

Children pick it up quickly because the mechanics are intuitive, and we adults enjoy it because there is real strategy. You have to decide when to attack, when to defend yourself, when to save special cards for the key moment... Every game is different.

Skills it develops

• Strategic thinking: Planning your moves and anticipating those of your rivals
• Decision-making: Choosing the best card at each moment
• Resource management: Managing your hand of cards efficiently
• Social interaction: Negotiation, temporary alliances and healthy competition
• Mental arithmetic: Adding up distances and working out how far is left to reach 1000km
• Patience and sportsmanship: Accepting setbacks and enjoying the game

The gaming experience

Games are exciting from start to finish. You can be comfortably in the lead and get stopped dead in the final turns, or be far behind and come back with a good combination of cards. That uncertainty right to the end is what makes you want to play one game after another.

The card illustrations are colourful and true to the Mario Kart style, which makes the game visually appealing. Fans of the series will immediately recognise all the elements and feel right at home.

Tips to get the most out of it

If it is your first time playing, we recommend a practice game to get familiar with the cards and the mechanics. Once you get the hang of it, games flow naturally. Don't be afraid to be a little mischievous: part of the fun of the game is annoying the others at just the right moment.

For the little ones, you can start by playing with the cards face up the first few times, so they can see what options they have and learn to make strategic decisions.
