🎮 Nintendo Switch 2 is now official: everything you need to know

Nintendo has officially announced the launch of the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2. After years of rumours and leaks, the Japanese company has confirmed that the new console will be available from 5 June 2025 in Spain and the rest of Europe.

Two versions available from launch

From 8 April you will be able to pre-order two models:

• Nintendo Switch 2 standard – €469.99

• Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World (digital version) – €509.99

Both bundles include the new Joy-Con 2, the dock for connecting to your television and all the accessories you need to start playing straight away.

Key features of the Nintendo Switch 2

• 7.9” LCD screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and HDR.

• Full HD resolution in handheld mode and 4K output when connected to the dock.

• New magnetic system on the Joy-Con 2, which attach more securely.

• Motion controls and mouse function on the Joy-Con 2.

• Larger sticks and SR/SL buttons for better ergonomics.

• Redesigned speakers with more natural, immersive sound.

• Built-in microphone for voice chat via GameChat.

• 256 GB of internal storage, expandable with microSD Express.

• Two USB-C ports, a cooling fan and a new adjustable stand.

• Optional external camera included for augmented reality games and streaming.

New cartridges and backwards compatibility!

• New red-coloured cartridges, with faster read speeds.

• Compatible with classic Nintendo GameCube games, thanks to Switch Online.

• Confirmed titles: Zelda Wind Waker, F-ZERO GX, SoulCalibur II and more.

• Elden Ring (exclusive port)

• Drag & Drive (new online game compatible with Joy-Con mouse mode)

• Zelda Breath of the Wild (graphical improvements)
