Orbegozo FO 1700 Stainless Steel Gas Hob Triple Crown 4.3 kW Piezo
Orbegozo FO 1700 — Portable Gas Stove with Stainless Steel Body and 4.3 kW Triple Crown Brass Burner
The Orbegozo FO 1700 is a portable gas stove with a stainless steel body, designed for outdoor use. Its triple crown brass burner reaches a power of 4.3 kW, making it a much superior option to basic domestic stoves for cooking paellas, large pots, or deep frying pans. It incorporates integrated piezoelectric ignition, is compatible with butane gas (G-30) and propane gas (G-31), and has European category I3+ approval. Its dimensions are 305 x 145 x 410 mm.
Why choose the FO 1700?
- Triple crown brass burner: three concentric flame rings that distribute heat evenly under the container.
- 4.3 kW power: boils water quickly and maintains high temperature for frying or paellas.
- Stainless steel body: corrosion resistant, easy to clean, and very durable in outdoor environments.
- Piezoelectric ignition: quick start with a snap of the knob, no matches or lighters needed.
- Butane and propane compatible: works with standard gas cylinders using the correct regulator for the gas type.
- Category I3+: certification for gases with pressures 28-30 mbar (G-30) and 37 mbar (G-31).
- Dimensions 305 x 145 x 410 mm: compact and easy to transport.

Who is it ideal for?
The FO 1700 is a step up from smaller 3 kW stoves. It is designed for:
- Camping, RVs, and regulated campsites, where a powerful and robust outdoor burner is needed.
- Rural houses without natural gas or ceramic hob, as a main or auxiliary burner.
- Paella cooks and rice enthusiasts who want a well-sized single burner.
- Fishing and hunting, for preparing catches on-site without relying on electricity.
- Terraces and porches where large family meals are cooked with big pots or pans.
- Emergency equipment in case of prolonged power outages.
Use and safety tips
Due to its power and I3+ category, it is advisable to follow these guidelines:
- Use it only outdoors or in completely ventilated spaces.
- Always connect with the appropriate gas regulator (G-30 at 28-30 mbar, G-31 at 37 mbar).
- Place the stove on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface (metal table, concrete, solid floor).
- Before each use, check the condition of the hose, clamp, and connection to the gas cylinder.
- Maintain a clear area of at least 1 meter around it, free of flammable materials (awnings, branches, clothing).
- Close the cylinder valve after each use, even before turning off the stove knob.
- If you are going to use small containers (coffee pots, Italian coffee makers), the optional reducing support (ref. 17817) improves stability and reduces consumption.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it indoors?
No. The FO 1700 is approved in category I3+ for outdoor use. Its use in enclosed indoor spaces carries a risk of carbon monoxide accumulation. It can be used on well-ventilated porches or terraces.
What gas cylinder do I need?
It works with standard butane (G-30) or propane (G-31) cylinders. In Spain, the most common is the orange 12.5 kg butane cylinder, with its corresponding regulator.
Does it include hose and regulator?
The connection equipment (hose and regulator) is usually sold separately and depends on the type of gas and current regulations. Consult us and we will advise you on the exact material.
How long does a butane cylinder last with this stove?
With 4.3 kW at full power, a 12.5 kg butane cylinder lasts approximately 38-42 hours of maximum flame. At medium-low flame, the times are multiplied.
Can it handle a large paella?
Yes, the power and triple crown are well-dimensioned for medium paella pans (up to 38-42 cm). For paella pans of 50 cm or more, a specific paella burner with multiple hobs is recommended.
How do I clean the stainless steel body?
Once cool, a damp cloth and neutral soap are sufficient. For more stubborn grease stains, use a specific stainless steel product and always dry afterwards to avoid water marks.
What if the piezoelectric ignition stops sparking?
First, check that there are no food residues preventing contact. If it persists, the piezoelectric igniter needs to be replaced, a spare part available through official Orbegozo technical service.
Does it come with a grease tray?
No, its design is a simple stove without a tray to focus on maximum power and easy cleaning. To avoid stains on surfaces, it is advisable to place the stove on a protective support.
