The UMIT ALICE 12" in turquoise is the bike many children learn to ride on. Designed for children aged 3 years and up, between 80 and 95 cm tall, it's just the right size so it's not intimidating, and features the necessary components to make the experience safe from the start: aluminum V-Break brakes with levers adapted for small hands, training wheels to gain confidence before removing them, and front and rear reflectors.

What sets the ALICE apart from other basic bikes in the same range is the included front basket. For a 3 or 4-year-old, being able to carry a stuffed animal, a snack, or the rocks they collect at the park turns a simple ride into a small expedition. It's a simple detail that greatly enhances the user experience.

Construction and components

UMIT XT12 Hi-Ten steel frame, which withstands intensive use and the inevitable falls of the learning stage well. 12" aluminum wheels, DSI Drive 12 × 2.125 tires with good grip. 3-piece bottom bracket with short cranks adapted for children's legs. 1 speed —just right for starting. The seat post is height-adjustable so the bike can last a couple of growth seasons.

It arrives 85% pre-assembled: you need to attach the pedals, adjust the seat and handlebars, and secure the basket. With the included instructions, it's ready to roll in less than 30 minutes.

What size child is the 12" for? For children between 80 and 95 cm, usually 3 to 5 years old. If the child is already over 95 cm, it's better to look at the 14" or 16" models.
