Orbegozo VCO 2000 Wine Cooler — 20 Bottles with Compressor (53L)

The Orbegozo VCO 2000 wine cooler is an electric cellar with a compressor, boasting a 20-bottle capacity and 53 L of usable volume, designed to store your wine collection in optimal conditions. Unlike thermoelectric wine coolers, its compressor-based cooling system ensures stable and rapid cooling even when the ambient temperature rises in summer, maintaining the target temperature between 5 and 18 ºC with precision.

Why choose the VCO 2000?

  • Low consumption and fast cooling compressor — more efficient than Peltier wine coolers in homes with warm climates.
  • Double-glazed insulation that protects wine from thermal variations and external light.
  • Silent: maximum noise level of 42 dB, suitable for living room, dining room, or open kitchen.
  • Touch LED display: adjust and view the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
  • Removable chrome shelves and interior LED light that does not heat the interior.
  • Auto-defrost function: simple maintenance, no frost accumulation.
  • R600a refrigerant: eco-friendly and low environmental impact.

Who is it ideal for?

The VCO 2000 is designed for those who want a serious wine cellar, not just a simple "cold cabinet":

  • Households that regularly store 16–20 bottles and want them at serving temperature.
  • Apartments where summer heat prevents a thermoelectric wine cooler from reaching 5–6 ºC.
  • Living rooms or open kitchens where noise matters (42 dB is comparable to a whispered conversation).
  • People who value aesthetics: the double-glazed window and interior LED light make it part of the decor.

Recommended storage temperatures

  • Sparkling wines (cava, champagne): 6–8 ºC
  • Young white and rosé wines: 8–10 ºC
  • Aged white wines: 10–12 ºC
  • Young red wines: 13–15 ºC
  • Aged red wines and Reservas: 15–18 ºC

Frequently asked questions

Is the VCO 2000 wine cooler noisy?

No. It has a maximum noise level of 42 dB, equivalent to a library or a whisper. It is suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, or bedrooms.

What is the difference between a compressor wine cooler and a thermoelectric one?

Compressor wine coolers (like this one) cool down faster, maintain stable cold temperatures, and work well even if the room is at 30 ºC. Thermoelectric ones are quieter but lose efficiency in summer and cannot reach such low temperatures.

Can it be built-in under a counter?

No. The VCO 2000 is a freestanding wine cooler. For built-in installation, you would need a specific model from Orbegozo's built-in series.

How many Bordeaux-type bottles actually fit?

Up to 20 standard Bordeaux bottles (75 cl). If you combine Burgundy or Champagne bottles (wider), the actual capacity may be slightly less.

Does it vibrate and disturb the wine?

The compressor is designed to minimize vibrations, which prevents the wine sediment from being disturbed — a critical factor for aged red wines.

Does it serve for both reds and whites at the same time?

The VCO 2000 has a single temperature zone. To store reds and whites at different temperatures simultaneously, we recommend the VCO 2850 Dual Zone model.

How long does it take to cool down the first time?

After initial installation, the wine cooler reaches the programmed temperature in approximately 4–6 hours. Bottles cool progressively over the next 12–24 hours depending on their starting temperature.

What is the warranty?

3 years official Orbegozo warranty. As an official distributor, we manage after-sales service and spare parts directly with the manufacturer.
