Mattel quiere menos pantallas y más juegos - Híper Ocio

Mattel wants fewer screens and more games

Mattel, one of the largest toy companies in the world and known for being the creator of Barbie and Hot Wheels, among many other brands that you can buy on our website, has just announced the collaboration with the Aprender a Mirar Foundation and the Consumers Association of Audiovisual Media in the Guay-fi Project for the adaptation of the Contrast Audiovisual Education Program (PEAC), which offers training and resources for parents with children from 3 to 5 years old to manage the correct use of screens at an early age.

The Project has the objective of educating parents and students in the balanced use of mobile, computer, television or tablet with alternative activities to screens that encourage interaction and traditional play. In this way, team play is enhanced, knowing how to win and learn to lose, camaraderie, discipline, rules of the game, order, imagination, skills such as patience, respect for your turn, the joy of playing with friends, siblings or parents, among others.

Céline Ricaud, Mattel's marketing director for Spain and Portugal, commented: “We are very proud to be able to collaborate in the Guay-fi Project together with the Aprender a Mirar Foundation. With this collaboration we want to do our bit to make parents aware that there are multiple game options, digital but also traditional, and it is important to find a balance between the two”.

From Híper Ocio we have spent years betting on this type of entertainment that, in addition to being playful, encourages the development of cognitive activities. Games like Fantasma Blitz , Catan , Carcassonne or Dixit should not be missing in any house. They are fun and educational at the same time.
