The Schleich® WILD LIFE anteater has a long, slender snout up to 30 cm.
The anteater inhabits the savannahs and grasslands of southern and central America. This mammal feeds mainly on ants and termites. To extract them from their shelters, it inserts its long snout into them and stretches out its 60 cm long and slimy tongue, to which the insects remain attached. In addition, it has a very bushy tail, which appears larger than it is due to the long hairs that cover it.
