Mist over Carcassonne completely reinvents the classic experience of the Carcassonne universe, immersing us in an unsettling atmosphere where players must collaborate to keep the ghosts emerging from the mist at bay. This cooperative twist makes it a completely different game from the original, although it retains the tile-laying system that we love so much and have thoroughly tested.

In this special edition, the objective is not to compete, but to work together to complete six misty days, during which ghosts threaten to overwhelm the towns. Each player will intelligently place their tiles to form roads, cemeteries, and cities, and must manage the meeples and ghosts before the board is completely overrun. If more than 15 ghosts appear before completing the six days, you will have lost the game, which adds a very fun level of tension.

We love how the game scales in difficulty with progressive levels, allowing the challenge to be adjusted according to the group. Furthermore, the dark aesthetic and ghostly meeples provide a very special thematic touch that hooks players from the first game.

This game works equally well for couples as it does for groups of up to 5 players, and it's perfect whether you already know classic Carcassonne or it's your first contact with this universe.
