How to choose your heating system

For a room or office (10–15 m²), a 1500–2000W heater or a low thermal emitter is sufficient. For a medium-sized living room (20–30 m²), a 1500–1800W emitter or a gas heater works well. For homes without natural gas, electric WiFi emitters are the most practical: they heat up quickly, are programmable, and require no installation. For bathrooms, a low-consumption electric towel warmer is best (300–500W).

Frequently Asked Questions

How many watts do I need per square meter?

Practical rule: 80–100 W per m² in homes with normal insulation in southern Spain. For a 12 m² bedroom → 1000–1200W. For a 25 m² living room → 2000–2500W (a single 1800W emitter may not be enough; consider two heat sources or adding an electric blanket). In poorly insulated homes, increase to 120 W/m².

Thermal emitter or fan heater?

A thermal emitter is for prolonged use (3+ hours daily): it consumes less in the long run, heats evenly, doesn't dry out the air, and many models have WiFi for programming. A fan heater heats quickly but consumes more per minute — useful for short bursts in the bathroom or kitchen. If you're going to have it on all afternoon, the emitter wins.

Is it safe to leave an emitter on overnight?

Yes, modern thermal emitters (Orbegozo RRW, RRE, similar) have an electronic thermostat, anti-tip protection, and child lock. Even so, we do not recommend covering them with clothing or leaving flammable materials within 50 cm.

Do you have butane gas or catalytic heaters?

Yes, we carry blue flame gas models (safer than traditional catalytic heaters) and some catalytic heaters with double filters. For homes with limited ventilation, we recommend blue flame models. Call 950 430 738 if you would like a specific recommendation.
