The avant-garde facility allows the stimulation of students with special needs

The Velázquez de Albox public school will be a school next year friendlier and above all prepared to serve a greater number of students more efficiently. Especially to those who are part of special education programs and with specific educational needs.

The reason is the opening of a new classroom of the so-called as 'multi-sensory classrooms' and which has been inaugurated this week with the presence of the educational community and the mayor of Albox, among other municipal authorities and staff from the Education Delegation of the Junta de Andalucía in Almería.

These types of classrooms are divided into different areas or corners that, due to the elements they have and their characteristics, make it possible to carry out with the student a sensory stimulation; that is, through the different senses, in addition to allowing students to move through said spaces safely, especially in those cases in which they may have a physical disability.

After the inauguration of this type of classroom that the Albojense public center already has, the mayor of the town, Francisco Torrecillas, has summarized the materialization of this project like "a dream come true" by the educational community of the center with the support of the institutions, since it is "a unique facility in the public schools of Almería, like this there is no other". It has also had the collaboration of companies in the municipality such as ' Hiper Ocio' .
